Showbusiness!, now there's a word.  And I wanted to be a part of it!

Ever since I can remember, I wanted to sing.  As a little girl I used to watch all the old movies and get carried away with the beautiful musical arrangements, luxurious sets, and brilliant choreography for the dance routines, and of course the fabulous stars of the day.

My mother always encouraged me to make my dreams a reality, and she gave me all the help & guidance she could, funding all the dancing, acting, singing, and even piano lessons, that I required from the age of six, shish!  It was not only a realisation but I was compelled to be dedicated and committed to work hard, if I could hope to achieve my dreams and take the opportunities that would arise along the magical path of the world of entertainment.

My mother would take me to many theatre shows, and I remember as a young girl, my eyes would well up with the emotion and with the excitement whilst hearing the orchestra start to play the overture, and wishing that it was I that was upon that very stage.

I loved musical comedy performers and one of my favorites, who I had seen in many of his magical Hollywood movies, was one of  the best, the sensational
Mr Danny Kaye, who I was lucky enough to meet backstage at the Sydney Opera House after one of his performances. I remember at the time I was an awkward young girl with braces on my teeth, totally mesmerized by him. This meeting was due to my mothers amazing efforts .. & some connections in the right places probably helped! (Mother's are fantastic aren't they!).

Very funny story for our family, was, that my mother would not let go of his hand whilst introducing herself, and she was doing all the motherly things saying this is my daughter, she wants to be on the stage, blah blah, very embarrassing at the time.  He had some peanuts in his hand, and she just wouldn't let go, eventually he found himself shouting, " Madam would you please let go of my nuts!!!  Obviously I thought it was funny at the time, but didn't really understand how funny, now remembering back to the expressions of the people in the room.

I left Australia, much to the chagrin of my mother and continued to pursue my dreams overseas, and for a time, I lived and worked in the United Kingdom.  I was always introduced as 'The Girl with the Golden Voice', from Australia.

I lived in London, for a time. What a great city!  My town!  How I loved working all over the United Kingdom, in fact, and Europe as well.  I even bought a house on the Pembrokeshire coastline of Wales, a very beautiful spot, much akin to parts of the Australian coastline, would you believe.  And, the welsh choirs, how magnificent!  They used to sing to me after my performances on many occasions before I left the venues in Wales. There was always a congregation of them to perform this task.

Since returning home to Australia, I have been working hard to re-establish myself once again in my home country. I have been very busy producing &
creating some wonderful musical shows of which you will see on this website.

Well, my beautiful, wonderful mother has gone now, and how I miss her every day.  She was the most important person in my life.  She always tried to educate me about people and life. She had so much wisdom & knowledge.  She had seen me achieve many of my dreams, and I know she is watching from above, and still looking over me.  I guarantee she is never bored!  But she wouldn't have it any other way. She had one important saying, "Always try be true to yourself", and I have tried to follow that throughout my life as a result, even when, as experience has taught me, that others do not always follow the same way of thinking.

This is a tough business ''Showbusiness'. It is not for the faint hearted!  To love what you do is reward enough, though, and seeing your hard work and dreams come to fruition is extremely fulfilling.

The people you meet in this business are like no other, some real amazing characters still exist, so many talented individuals who love what they do, some who are dedicated, some who are not, some who are genuine, and some who are most definitely not!  Funny about that!

I have had many wonderful adventures and experiences so far, and tremendous help from a lot of other people through my life & career, of which I thank every one of them.

I hope that you enjoy browsing my website.  God willing, more is yet to come!
